About the Artist Virdell:
Virdell
is a self-taught artist whose hectic life-style
has forced her to find focus through chaos. Using
oils, and a limited palette, she creates an enviroment
she can control. Themes such as dreams and inner
conflicts, the initiation from darkness into light
and the process of self-actualization, all take
to the canvas in the form of "symbols of confrontation."
A native of Marin, part-time working Mother of 2,
and a full-time student, she continues to study
Art and Psychology at the College of Marin. Currently
working on her 1st series, this is the start of
her second year exploring the realms of paint.
